Image Dating Comments
The slides have a development date of Sept. 1968 printed on them in ink.
Comments & Discussion
The sign shows a noticeable splattering of red paint in these images. This can also be seen covering the letter P in other images from this era. That letter was still the same color as the others in June 1968. Images showing the color red there can be dated to after spring of 1968 or later.
A drip of white paint can also be seen on the sign in all of these photos.
Previously: This sign and its masonry base were added sometime between the late 1950s and 1961. The plaque was removed and refurbished or replaced around that time.
Condition, Aging & Authenticity: There is no apparent damage to the actual slide films. There is some fading of the date stamps inks.
