Comments & Discussion

This sign was located on the southern side of Highway 6, opposite where the current sign is located. The signpost in the background is from the original Loveland Pass sign, but the sign had likely been replaced by this point with an Arapahoe Basin open/closed status sign. See that one here.

The vehicle shown here is likely a Nash 600 from either 1949 or 1950. The 600 was renamed the Statesman in 1950.

Condition, Aging & Authenticity: There is a small amount of damage along the upper edge, and easily visible damage to two of the corners. The front still has a glossy surface with little or no scratching. There is visible fading of the handwritten date. The backside has mild, even discoloration due to aging. There is some slight convex horizontal bending.
