The slide has a punch-stamped date of Oct. 1975. It also has a handwritten date of 1975 in pen.

This image was captured after the first tunnel bore was opened. This tunnel functioned as a two-lane highway until 1979 when the second bore was opened. There are now two lanes of traffic flowing in each direction on Interstate 70 through the tunnel.
Condition, Aging & Authenticity: There is one light brown spot on the slide mount, but no damage or discoloration as of its arrival into the archives. There is no apparent damage to the slide’s surface.
