The earliest this image could have been captured is the winter of 1939-1940. An addition can be seen here that was added to the side of the shelter house in the summer of 1939.

This image shows the shelter house that had been built in 1938, also known as the Berthoud Pass Inn, after an addition was added onto the side of the structure to make it an ‘L’ shape in 1939.
Below, two Colorado Courtesy Patrol cars are seen. These were the predecessors to the State Troopers.

Condition, Aging & Authenticity: There is virtually no cracking, spidering, or scratching of the front surface. There is very light discoloration due to aging on the backside, and two small spots to keep an eye on to see if they could be mold.
