This ticket used a format that is similar to tickets from the late 1950s and early 1960s. This one may have originally been a different color.
The color in the lower 1/4 of this ticket looks very similar to this ticket from 1949.

This was the first toll road ticket that was added to the Coloradotopia collection, and it is approximately the same size as a baseball card.
This style was used from 1948 onward for an unknown period of time. Previously, a different style was used, and there were two different types of tickets for the road. There were actual tickets that were purchased offsite and collected at the bottom of the road. Souvenir tickets were given to those who made it to the top. You can see what many of them looked like here.
Condition, Aging & Authenticity: The color gradient is most likely due to fading, but it is possible that the original color scheme for this ticket was a two-tone gradient. There is a small amount of crinkling in the paper, but no major creases or damage.
