1981 Pikes Peak Toll Road Receipt PIK-7538

<< Previous Ticket | Next Ticket >>

Brief Description

This toll road receipt is a bit different than the souvenir tickets that were given out for decades here. There is nothing ornamental about the receipt. It served the same purpose as every other receipt that you get when you pay for something is given out when you purchase something. It wasn’t meant to be taken home and kept as a memento.

Comments & Discussion

This ticket appears to show a cost of $6 per car in 1981.

It seems likely that souvenir toll road tickets were no longer available by the 1980s. Someone may have kept this instead. Check back as the collection and knowledge base grows.

Condition, Aging & Authenticity: There is mild fading of the ink near the bottom, small wrinkles and corner damage.
